"Millennium Celebration 2000" by Takemi Sugimoto

The Airedale Terrier Milennium Celebration was held at the Jarvis Bankfield Hotel, Bingley, West Yorkshire on the weekend of June 23rd to25th 2000.
We flew from Narita to London on June 22nd, and flew to Leeds on June 23rd.
And then we went straight to the hotel in Bingley.

I myself had three purposes on my trip to England. First I should learn a lot from English Airedales. Next I would like to deepen the mutual understanding with overseas friends who always exchange e-mail with. And next I would like the people from all over the world to know about Airedale Terrier Club of Japan which I serve as the president. The big event, Milennium Campionship show had as much as 146 Airedales. Its sight was a fine spectacle. I was impressed that English Airedales were high quality and there were many more such Airedales than Japanese Airedales. It was a wonderful experience for me to see and touch English Airedales directly, and I learned a lot from them. It was really great for me to participate “Overseas Handling Competition” which was a good opportunity for all overseas visitors, and “Championship show ”. Especially when I was offered as a handler for the latter show the day before the show, I was very greatful. I will never forget it. I give thanks toAlaine & Martin(Jaideld Airedales)

It was the most impressive that we could see overseas friends in person who have communicated with us through the E-mail for a few years. I'm sure our getting together on the weekend deepened our friendship.And It was also a fantastic experience that
my friends introduced me to the new friends. The meeting with those people was the most memorable of my Airedale life. And It was a great success that the name of ATCJ made a favorable impression on the people from England, America, Canada, Australia and Holland.
